    As a Patient Service Agent (PSA) you are contributing to a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment. You are helping new and existing patients find the best provider for their needs based on their location by providing specific times, dates, and directions. The ideal candidate for this role is eager to learn and develop, enjoys challenging themselves to be great, and loves to help others. Our center features family-friendly hours (Monday through Friday, 7 am – 5 pm), an excellent benefits package, and industry leading resources.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Represent Anne Arundel Dermatology and its providers with friendliness and professionalism
    • Efficiently handle 125-175 inbound calls each day
    • Master internal systems and tools (phone system, customer database, etc.)
    • View and manage provider scheduling and communications
    • Collect and manage patient information with respect and detail, in accordance with industry regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
    • Consult with patients to schedule and re-schedule appointments
    • Actively listen to patients, using empathy and concern
    • Escalate patient situations that require unique attention
    • Achieve and surpass individual monthly performance goals

    Qualifications

    • Pleasant and clear speaking voice
    • Positive attitude that shines through to our patients on the phone
    • Attention to detail, specifically professional writing skills
    • Follows directions and respects policies and procedures
    • 1-3 years call center experience
    • 1-3 years general customer database (CRM) experience

    Candidacy is favored if you possess:

    • Bi-Lingual skills (Spanish)
    • Experience with NextGen or EMA systems

    Licensure/Certifications/Education

    • 1-5 years’ experience within the healthcare industry
    • College education (completed degree or relevant coursework)
