Physician Assistants provide a wide range of health care services, including the diagnosis and management of acute, chronic, and complex health problems as it relates to skin disorders and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as biopsies and lab work.  
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic skin disorders and conditions. Prescribing medications and other treatments when needed. 
  • Managing patients' overall care. 
  • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the quality of service and care our patients deserve. 
  • Review all new client intake forms, and document client treatments and plans of care. 
  • Build patient partnerships by appropriately matching patient needs to the various services and products offered and clearly educating the patient on how they will receive the most benefit. 
  • Attend/conduct in-house training programs. 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Clinical Dermatology, aesthetic services, and treatments 
  • Excellent customer service skills and bedside manner 
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written) 
  • Well organized, efficient, and able to operate in a busy work environment 
  • Operates in a transparent manner with integrity 
  • Willingness to succeed and grow individually as well as part of a team 
  • Ability to adhere to designated standards and protocols for medical documentation for services performed. 
  • Have thorough knowledge of skincare and cosmetic products in order to appropriately develop patient prescriptions. 
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of all medical protocols, standard operating procedures, and policies. 
  • Ability to work under an assigned supervising physician.   

Licensure/Certifications/Education

Education and Experience: 

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Dermatology 
  • Board Certified Physician Assistant 
  • State Licensure 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of standing.  
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
