Job Summary: As a Vice President of Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Your role will be pivotal in aligning departmental strategies with the overall goals of the organization, promoting ethical conduct, and mitigating risks.

 

Responsibilities

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and guidance to team members, overseeing their tasks and projects.
  • Manages personnel-related matters within the compliance team, such as recruitment, performance evaluations, and terminations, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of compliance within the organization, ensuring adherence to legal standards and internal policies. Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce compliance policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization. Ensure that policies are communicated effectively and are accessible to all employees.
  • Develop and implement strategies for ensuring that all organizational operations comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • implement compliance testing or auditing procedures.
  • Investigate allegations of illegal, improper, or unethical conduct by employees or company representatives, and address violations.
  • Identify compliance vulnerabilities and take corrective action
  • Develop and conduct training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and procedures. Foster a culture of compliance awareness throughout the organization.
  • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management

 

Qualifications

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to develop and mentor others.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to influence and engage others effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to build and manage a high-performing compliance team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels within the organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Some travel required.

 

Licensure/Certifications/Education

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in compliance management, preferably in a similar industry.
