As a Billing Manager at our dermatology practice, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the billing process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing revenue, reducing denials, and maintaining compliance with healthcare billing regulations. You will lead a team of billing specialists and collaborate with other departments to streamline billing operations.
Salary range: $60-65k
MUST reside within the Eastern Time Zone. Strong preference will be given to qualified individuals who live within the Mid-Atlantic. Remote position with occasional travel to the Corporate HQ in MD.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire billing process, including charge entry, claim submission, denial management and payment posting.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies, government payers, and patients.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable to optimize cash flow.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare billing regulations, including HIPAA, CMS, and other relevant guidelines.
Stay updated on changes in billing and coding regulations and implement necessary changes.
Investigate and resolve claim denials and appeals by working closely with insurance providers and billing staff.
Monitor and manage outstanding claims to facilitate prompt payment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of billing activities.
Generate reports on billing performance and communicate findings to the team and to leadership.
Facilitate collaboration between teams, including coding, insurance verification, and patient services, to resolve billing-related issues.
Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements.
Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
