Anne Arundel Dermatology is seeking a professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to support our St. Petersburg North office at Academic Alliance in Dermatology.

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The Front Desk Medical Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR). Candidates with experience in a medical office, healthcare front desk, or dermatology practice are strongly preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities
Greet and check in patients in a professional and welcoming manner
Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and referrals
Answer and screen calls using a multi-line phone system
Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Verify insurance eligibility and review patient charts for accuracy
Collect copays, balances, and patient payments
Check out patients and schedule follow-up appointments
Maintain smooth front office operations and patient flow
Scan, upload, and distribute medical records, faxes, and correspondence
Respond promptly to patient messages and internal communication
Assist with basic billing and insurance-related questions
Help maintain office and product inventory; place supply orders as needed
Perform end-of-day duties including reports and payment reconciliation (when assigned)
Support clinical and administrative staff as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required
1 to 3 years of recent experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Front Desk, or Healthcare Receptionist (preferred)
Experience working in a medical office, clinic, surgical practice, or dermatology office preferred
Prior dermatology experience strongly preferred
