Overview

We’re hiring a Lab Assistant 1 to join our SkinPath Solutions team in Smyrna, GA. This role supports daily pathology laboratory operations by assisting with specimen accessioning, patient record management, laboratory supplies, and routine equipment and solution changes.

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

SkinPath Solutions, an affiliate of Anne Arundel Dermatology, is an independent dermatopathology laboratory specializing in the diagnosis of skin, hair, and nail disorders. Our laboratory team supports accurate diagnostic evaluation through experienced staff, advanced technology, and close clinical correlation.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Enter patient information into the laboratory system.
  • Assign case numbers to specimens, slides, and cassettes.
  • Pull and file patient records for physicians, client services, and laboratory staff.
  • Match and quality-check patient records.
  • Change solutions in laboratory processors.
  • Change solutions in staining equipment.
  • Fill client supply orders.
  • Stock and organize laboratory supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an associate degree required.
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when working with specimens and patient records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and other members of the laboratory team.
  • Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
